Cancer Bush is a herbal pharmaceutical (an adaptogen) which assists the body in mobilising its recourses to resist stressors of all kinds, whether physical, chemical or biological. Pinitol, an anti-diabetic agent isolated from Sutherlandia Frutenscens leaves, is used to treat insulin-dependent diabetics. Cancer Bush is also used as an Immune Booster and to treat: Colds, Flu, Asthma, Bronchitis, High Blood Pressure, TB, Liver problems, Haemorrhoids, Piles, Diarrhea, Bladder, Uterus and Feminine complaints, Depression, Stress, Anxiety, Energy Booster, Enhance Libido, Varicose Veins, Inflammation, Fungal Disease, Blood Circulation and rheumatism. Improve appetite and assist with weight gain in Cancer and HIV/AIDS patients, as well as a beneficial effect on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Preparation and Direction: Place 2 Heaped tablespoons of loose tea in a saucepan.  Add 1 litre of boiling water. Boil for 15 minutes.  Let the tea steep for 30 minutes. Enjoy hot or cold. Once prepared, refrigerate.  Use 200ml daily.

• Drink once daily for maintenance and twice a day for severe cases.
• Somewhat bitter. If not used to bitter herbs, add fresh lime/lemon juice or honey

Traditional use (External):

• Bruises and Skin Eruptions.
• Wound Cleaning.
• Eye Infection.
• Rinse Douche for prolapsed the Uterus.

Soak gauze in boiled tea to make a poultice.  Cool and apply.

Other use:

• To repel ticks and fleas on dogs –Put into dog kennel or rub into skin or rinsing water 
• Lice and ants – Spray on plants
• Also repels rats and mice
